Hyjet’s HSM Series consists of two vertical multistage submersible pressure pumps that are suitable for the following applications:

What is the difference between a submersible pump and a centrifugal pump?

Generally speaking, submersible pumps are vertical multi-staged centrifugal pumps where the pump is installed below the free surface of fluid you wish to transfer, as opposed to above ground like the centrifugal pumps. Submersible pumps push the water/fluid from the bottom of its containing area, where centrifugal pumps pull the fluid to the top. However, despite this difference, submersible pumps are centrifugal pumps, only serving a unique purpose. The working principle is the same for both. For example, a self-priming centrifugal pump can also be used to pump water from depth.

The obvious benefits/advantages of submersible pumps include avoiding cavitation, as well as their ability to work at peak performance in harsher environments – such as below dirt and water. Because of their special purpose, these pumps are uniquely designed to include airtight pump casing and specially insulated cables.
